A Ghost Named Bill

I had moved in with a friend who warned me kindly of cabinet doors opening on their own and the smell of food cooking.  Well, Cheryl being quite the drinker and a larger woman it figured.  Hmm, a night out with the girls and midnight munchies leaves me to believe…

Well, I came home from work one night to find not one but ALL of the cabinet doors in the kitchen open.  AHha, funny Cheryl. She swore she didn’t do it. Here’s my story.

It was about 3 pm and Cheryl wasn’t home from work yet. I thought I’d catch a bit of TV in the den. I turned on the TV, and picked up the phone to chat with my mom for a bit when I glanced over to the back door which was in the den, to see a man in a black and red flannel shirt, squatted down as if he was fixing the door knob on the inside of the door.

I can still see him in my mind to this day. Beige pants and a hat of some sort. And his profile. Although it only lasted a moment. He was there.

When he “left” I told mom, who was on the phone. She thought I was nuts. But when Cheryl came home I told her of my experience and all she had to say was, “so you finally met Bill. Now do you believe me?”

I moved out at the end of that month.
